  The upper house of the Parliament on Friday passed the controversial State Bank Pakistan SBP Bill 2021, amidst protests from the Opposition benches. On January 13, the National Assembly passed the SBP autonomy bill along with the supplementary finance bill.   Justice Ayesha Malik of the Lahore High Court (LHC) was appointing to the Supreme Court by President Arif Alvi on Friday. According to a statement from the Ministry of Law and Justice, “In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (1) of Article 177 of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. The President is pleased to appointing Mrs. Justice Ayesha A. Malik, Judge, Lahore High Court, Lahore as Judge of the Supreme Court of Pakistan with effect from the date. She takes her oath of office,” according to a statement from the Ministry of Law and Justice. The news comes a day after the Parliamentary Committee on Judges’ Appointment approved Justice Ayesha Malik’s nomination. Recommended her for appointment by the president. The goal is to assist 12 million families financially. This program has been working hard to deliver Rs. 12000 to eligible, underprivileged Pakistani couples and families.
