PM Imran Khan not pleased over slow pace of development in Balochistan

  Prime Minister Imran Khan Saturday expressed his concern over the slowness of development projects in the Southern Balochistan Development Package and ordered to hold a Apex Committee meeting every month. PM Imran Khan tests coronavirus positive

  ISLAMABAD: PM Imran Khan has tested coronavirus positive, SAPM Dr Faisal Sultan confirmed on Saturday. The SAPM said that the  prime minister imran khan  has quarantined himself at home. It is pertinent to note that PM Imran had got himself vaccinated on Thursday. Separately, PM’s aide Shahbaz Gill said the premier has mild fever and a cough. “Thank God his symptoms are not severe. May the Almighty bless him with quick recovery.” He also requested to not link the matter with vaccination as immunity  develops after  a few days. Govt expresses displeasure over ECP reply to PM Imran Khan

  ISLAMABAD: The federal ministers on Friday expressed their disapproval of the way the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) released a press release to respond to  pm Imran khan , adding that the government is “unhappy” with the way the commission dealt with the matter. The Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry,  along with Federal Information Minister Shibli Faraz and Senator-elect Barrister Ali Zafar, was speaking to the media after the ECP fired back on PM Imran’s allegation of corruption in Senate elections. The science and technology minister clarified that the prime minister and the PTI respect the Election Commission and all the institutions of Pakistan. “There is no [truth] to the rumour that PTI will be protesting in front of the ECP tomorrow. ECP is revered by us and will remain so,” said Chaudhry. The minister, however, stated that the institutions show their “independence through their actions and not through press releases”.   ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan’s  Senate election  vote was also rejected, claimed PPP leader Naveed Qamar on Wednesday. However, it is not clear on what grounds the PPP leader made the claim because the votes polled during the election for the upper house are anonymous. “Prime Minister Imran Khan’s vote [for Yousuf Raza Gilani’s seat] was rejected,” said Qamar, speaking to Geo News. “Shehryar Afridi and Zartaj Gul Wazir’s votes have also been rejected.” “The [rejected votes] were incorrectly marked,” said Qamar.
