Ayesha Malik Notified as First Woman Judge of Supreme Court
Justice Ayesha Malik of the Lahore High Court (LHC) was appointing to the Supreme Court by President Arif Alvi on Friday. She takes her oath of office,” according to a statement from the Ministry of Law and Justice. The news comes a day after the Parliamentary Committee on Judges’ Appointment approved Justice Ayesha Malik’s nomination. Recommended her for appointment by the president. If nominated, Justice Ayesha will be Pakistan’s first woman judge of supreme court in the country’s history.
