Jason Roy Fined for Breaching PSL Code of Conduct

Quetta Gladiators batter, Jason Roy was penalized five percent of his match fees for a breach of Level 1 within the PSL 2022. Code of Conduct in the match that took place between Quetta Gladiators and Lahore Qalandars at the Gaddafi Stadium on Sunday.

Jason Roy was discovered to be in violation of the article 2.21 and 2.21 of the PSL Code of Conduct. Other personnel of the PSL in relation to “conduct that brings the game into disrepute,” due to his actions. After he was declared to be in violation by the Umpire Asif Yaqoob.

There was no formal hearing , as Roy acknowledged the offence. While accepting the sanction recommended by the referee for the match, Roshan Mahanama. The charges were rebuked by the umpires of the field, Asif Yaqoob and Michael Gough and third umpire Rashid Riaz, and fourth umpire, Waleed Yaqoob.

First-time Level 1 infractions are subject to a minimum fine. Consisting of an official warning or the imposition of a fine of up to 25% of the fee for the match.
